Do the makeup and hair rates for the bride include a consultation before the wedding day? What does the consultation include?
The consultation fee is built into the bride’s makeup and hair rate. A consultation before the wedding day is highly recommended so that you are assured that you will have the exact look you want for your big day. A full makeup application including airbrush makeup with false lashes will be applied for the makeup portion of the consult. Your requested hair style or updo will also be completed at the consult. The stylist will do minor adjustments to the hair style; if need be at that time. The consultations takes about 1 hour. If more than one look is requested, additional fees may apply. If a client is late to a consultation that may also hinder the styling options available at the consultation.
What should you bring to the consultation?
Bring along any hair pictures of styles you want to try and the hair accessories that you plan on wearing (ex: headpiece, flower, combs, fascinators) and makeup pictures that inspire the look you want. Please do not bring your veil. You should come without makeup on, and have clean hair. Bring friends and family along, if you prefer!
Are consultations for the bridal party too?
Consultations are NOT included in the rates for the bridal party. If they request a in-studio consult before the wedding day; that amount is $80 (per requested service) and then full service rates would be charged on the wedding day.
When should the consultation be booked? How far in advance?
The consultations are done about 5-6 weeks prior to the wedding day and are held at Lisa’s studio. Consultations are done Monday-Friday during the days/evenings. Saturday is the busiest day for weddings and therefore we do not book consultations at any time on Saturdays. The studio is closed all day Sundays.
What is the deposit for?
Non-refundable deposit is due upon booking. This will go toward your final balance for services. The deposit assures your date is reserved by Lisa or a member of her team. Whichever stylist/makeup artist does the bridal consultation will also be the stylist/makeup artist who will be doing the brides wedding day services.
Is there a minimum amount of girls required in the bridal party to book services:
Yes, there is a bride plus 3 minimum required to book. This is due to current business demands; especially during our extremely busy peak summer months. Flower girls and JR attendants do not meet the “additional” those are add on services.
How many girls can we accommodate for wedding day services?
We can accommodate a bridal party of any size for makeup and hair. There are NO additional fees for extra makeup artist or stylist.
How long does each person’s service take on the wedding day?
A good rule of thumb is 30 minutes per girl, per service with the exception of the bride. The bride’s hair will take 1 hour, and bride’s makeup will take 45 minutes. If any member of your bridal party does have longer hair, Lisa will need to know this in advance for timing purposes. There maybe additional fees for *longer/thicker hair. Lisa will send out a timeline 2-3 weeks before the wedding for the bride to approve. The timeline will list each girls start/end time for services, and ensures the bride that timing will flow perfectly for her wedding day.
Cancelling services 3 weeks before the wedding day?
50% (fifty) payment will be charged for each cancelled service, includes the bride or bridal party 3 weeks prior to the wedding. 100% payment will be charged for each cancelled service within the week of the wedding day. The account that you used to for the deposit, will be charged if there are any cancelled services within the 3 week grace period.
Wet Hair?
A $20 additional blow out fee will be assessed to anyone who arrives to their stylist on the wedding day with wet hair. This will throw off the timeline also, due to extra time blowing out the hair.
Can I bring my own clip in extensions for the stylist?
If a member of the bridal party wishes to bring their own clip in extensions they must have them already placed on their head prior to starting hair services. If they want the stylist to place and curl them, a $25 additional fee will be assessed to their hair service. This will throw off the timeline also, due to extra time placing the clip in’s and curling of the additional hair.
How is payment accepted?
Cash or check only on the wedding day. Deposit is paid online thru a link provided. Everyone can pay separately or the Bride can pay the total together. Whichever is most convenient for the Bride and her bridal party.
All checks are to be made payable to: Lisa Reinhardt Makeup and Hair Artistry.
**All parking or valet charges are to be paid by the bride PER artist/stylist that is required for wedding day services.
Is all travel included in the rates?
The first 30 miles (ROUND TRIP) from Roseville is free of charge. Anything after that is charged at $0.60 per additional mile per stylist/artist that is required for the wedding day. There are not extra fees for time taken to travel to the client’s location just for the mileage.
Late Start or tardiness of any member of the bridal party
If we are unable to start wedding day services to due tardiness of the bride or any member of the bridal party, additional fees will apply after 15mins. For each 15mins that a stylist/makeup artist has to wait a $30 fee will be assessed and due before services can be started. Late starts will throw off the timeline, and services may be cut short due to tardiness.
Should you add Tip/Gratuities to your final bill for makeup and hair services?
For your convenience, an industry standard 18% gratuity will be added to all on-site services.
